Vince Zampella, Dies in a California Car Crash
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential game designer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
