Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
