Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity near the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the US has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
IRGC Statement
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted sites associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with notable success and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in the capital, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
