Tehran is ready to restart atomic negotiations with Washington on condition that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue was effective, and shared recent overtures had been made by intermediaries to restart discussions with the US government. He said Iran had zero secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit struck enrichment centers for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Route

Araghchi is navigating a challenging path since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be proceeding from a position of vulnerability, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen more powerful militarily and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will perpetually retain" – the main reason of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Previous Discussions Unexpectedly Concluded

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a fortnight-long engagement that culminated with Donald Trump declaring the sites had been destroyed. Afterward, European countries employed their privilege to reinstate UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Suggested

Tehran representatives said they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the negotiations that American atomic experts could work within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Officials stated three times they had reached agreement with the US representative the American negotiator only for the deal to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Present Situation

Tehran representatives stated the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be revived in various formats if discussions resume.

The American leader last week stated he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but confidentially Iranian officials state they are not yet receiving clear proposals from America either straightforwardly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been charged of inactivity in the aftermath of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Tehran states negotiations is not part of a show.

Negotiating Standpoint

In his remarks to the gathering, intended to paint the US as a controlling nation that abuses the idea of international law, Araghchi said the fortnight-long engagement showed the clash could not be ended by armed force. He stated the assaults started with a US demand for an total Iran submission and concluded with an absolute demand for a ceasefire.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were carried out with total Washington understanding and coordination, making trust hard to restore.

Diplomacy Remains the Primary Answer

Araghchi declared: "Tehran was not the one that had fled negotiations; it was the United States and the western countries that had consistently sought to enforce their will during the discussions. Diplomacy can still be alive and stays the final solution to resolve disputes, but its criteria, regulations and principles must be adhered to."

"Provided that they speak to the Iranian people with the tone of dignity and respect, they will obtain a reply in the same tone."

Repair and Reconstruction

In what is described by Iran's diplomats as the struggle of restoration and recovery, the foreign minister stated he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been rebuilt. We acquired multiple understandings from this engagement; we have identified our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the opponent."

He continued: "We successfully passed this conflict. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to eliminate, remains in place. The installations and machinery, if damaged, will be restored; what is important is the will of the nation of Iran and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but did not succeed to destroy. The citizens of Tehran have developed stronger, more integrated, and more supportive of the government and the country in the face of this attack."
